The KDJ Random Indicator was created by George Lane. It reflects the strength of price trends based on the amplitude of price fluctuations in the previous day or a few days. The calculation of the KDJ Random Indicator is as follows: Today's closing price minus the lowest price in the past N days. Today's (N) RSV = (-----------------------) x 100; The highest price in the past N days minus the lowest price in the past N days. Today's (N) K value = 2/3 of yesterday's K value + 1/3 of today's (N) RSV; today's (N) D value = 2/3 of yesterday's D value + 1/3 of today's (N) K value; today's (N) J value = 3 x today's (N) K value - 2 x today's (N) D value. The initial values of K and D are set to 50.
